Shower Repair Project
 |
|
The existing
shower/sauna was
about 9
years old
and a part
of major
remodeling.
It was found
to be
leaking.
This is a
"bread and
butter" or
"staple"
project that
we do, or
shall I say
redo on a
regular
basis. |
 |
|
The
shower/sauna
with the
bench, note
darkening in
the corners
and
positioning
of drain |
 |
|
Major damage
to plywood
sub floor,
wet
insulation
and rotting
vertical
studs at
bottom
resulted in
presence of
mold |
 |
|
Replacing
existing
copper
lines.
Notice
insulation
on the water
lines. It
was missing
on the
original
shower even
though the
two walls
face the
exterior.. |
 |
|
Shower walls
ready to be
finished |
 |
|
Cement
backer
boards going
up |
 |
|
The marble
tile is set
on
waterproof
polyethylene
membrane
that insures
long term
performance
of the new
shower |
 |
|
Shower
fixtures
being
installed.
Notice
double head
swivel arm
from Grohe,
one of the
most popular
shower heads
in the area |
 |
|
The shower
door
enclosure in
place with
the marble
at top. The
new
shower/sauna
can now be
put to test |
